Jordan Cabernet: Alexander Valley Elegance

Cabernet Sauvignon, Jordan

If there is one wine that embodies the Brandani's philosophy of refined but approachable, it is the Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley.

Jordan Winery was founded in 1972 with a single ambition: to create a Bordeaux-style wine in Sonoma County. Over five decades later, their Cabernet Sauvignon remains one of the most consistently excellent wines in California, vintage after vintage.

What Makes It Special

This is not a fruit bomb. It is not trying to impress you with extraction or new oak. The Jordan Cabernet is elegant. You get blackcurrant and cassis on the nose, followed by subtle hints of cedar, dried herbs, and a whisper of vanilla from careful oak aging.

On the palate, the tannins are silky and refined. There is structure here, but it never feels aggressive. The finish is long, clean, and inviting, the kind of wine that makes you slow down and savor.

At the Table

We pour the Jordan by the glass at Brandani's for a reason. It is versatile enough to pair with our Coffee Crusted New York Strip, where the wine's dark fruit meets the espresso demi-glace beautifully. But it is equally at home with our Porterhouse Pork Chop, where the gorgonzola cream finds a willing dance partner in the Cabernet's acidity.

For guests new to wine, the Jordan is an excellent starting point for understanding what Cabernet Sauvignon can be when winemakers choose restraint over spectacle. It is a wine that rewards attention but does not demand expertise.

Next time you are in, ask your server for a glass. It pairs well with good conversation.
